NOTE: The Priority Slides feature is not available until the initial Pre-Rinse is complete.

2. After the Pre-Rinse is completed, the PRIORITY SLIDES button is available. Select the

PRIORITY SLIDES button.

NOTE: The NEW PROGRAM and REVIEW PROGRAM buttons are not available after

the PRIORITY SLIDES button has been selected.

NOTE: The PRIORITY SLIDES button changes to a time display countdown, which

represents the wait time before continuing.

3. When the wait time has expired, the “Ready for Priority Slides” dialog is displayed.

Select the time display button (i.e., 0:09) to add priority slides to the run.

Select the NO button to return to the RUN LOG screen to continue the original run.

NOTE: The time display button will count down and display the time remaining. If no

action is taken before the time expires, the “Ready for Priority Slides” dialog disappears

and the PRIORITY SLIDES button changes to TIMED OUT. If the TIMED OUT button is

selected, the time display button will display the next time the Priority Slides option is

available.

4. The PROGRAMMING GRID screen is displayed. The previously filled slide positions and

slide numbers are not available. Enter the protocol template (see Designing a Protocol

section) and slides (see Entering Slide Information section) for the priority run. A program

can be retrieved from disk (see Programming During Staining Run section). Select the

NEXT button. The Warning “Slides may dry out while instrument is paused” dialog is

displayed. Select the OK button.

NOTE: Auto Programs or a different Protocol Template may be used for the priority run.

5. The LOAD AND SCAN SLIDES screen is displayed with the slides from the original run.

Load the priority slides in any empty position (see Slide Bar Coding section). Select the

SCAN SLIDES button to locate the slide positions of the priority slides.

6. The “Set Slide Priority” dialog is displayed asking “Finish Priority Slides before continuing
